Determination of the impact of strain rate on dynamic recrystallization of hot-deformed 2205 duplex stainless steel

2205 duplex stainless steel suffers poor hot workability, especially whe1981hot-deformed. This investigation aims to determine the strain rate’s effect on material’s dynamic recrystallization after heat treatment. Secondly, ascertain critical at which occurs. The as-rolled material was subjected treatment 1340 °C for some time. After treatment, yielded equiaxed austenite morphology used this investigation. Gleeble 1500™ thermo-mechanical as a simulant in uniaxial compression mode. deformation temperature set 850 °C, with maximum 0.8 and carried out 0.001 s -1 , 0.01 0.1 1 5 rates. microstructure of before heat-treatment evaluated using light microscope, while factors (stress strain) were determined through stress-strain curve. It observed that lowest rate generated stress 191.99 MPa 0.08283, respectively. However, highest rate, experienced by 336.32 0.17577. Overall, it established applied stain influenced material. can be concluded occur any but determines extent phenomenon.
